With an estimated LGBT community of 13% - 17%, Brighton and Hove has long been seen as a gay friendly city. Lib Dem Councillor Paul Elgood has long been one the main LGBT community leaders for the area. The Lib Dems have selected two of their three local Parliamentary candidates, with Paul Elgood in Hove and Juliet Williams in Brighton Kemptown.

With the Lib Dems in Brighton and Hove taking such a lead, it would be a fitting place for a branch of DELGA, and one is now being set up. The initial launch of Brighton and Hove DELGA takes place on Monday 25th January from 7:30pm onwards in the The Star Inn, 7/9 Manchester Street, (off of St James Street) BN2 1TF.

Everyone is welcome. If you would like to know more or would like to receive details of all future events, please contact former DELGA chair and Brighton resident Brian Stone. Mobile: 0779 433 3819 or email brianstone69@hotmail.com
